Most likely, yes! The high level of glucose draws water into the urine dehydrating you (thirst). It also affects the brain (tired).
Good news - As your sugars remain in the normal range, you will feel better.
Bad news - Can be difficult at times.
Note: If you check your sugars, and they are usually normal, and your HbA1c is good (3 month avg of sugars), and you feel tired and thirsty again, it is still possible to have other conditions. Bottom line, if you don't think it's the Diabetes causing something in particular, tell your doc.

hi for sure i did not feel the same though diabetic and as a matter of fact need to do lot of changes with my life style and eating habits. One thing for sure diabetic is not a disease it is a disorder or disability to process sugar properly. hence take the necessary precaution and medication apart from active life style excercise yoga etc should help you overcome the disorder. enjoy the life as ever

Yes tired and thirsty are symtoms of high blood sugar . This will improve after you get your bloodsugar under control

i am also diabetic type 01 at the age of 19
dont disappoit think positively
i think diabetes gave more courage
feeling thisty is the first sign of diabtes mallitus

Those were my two main symptoms, also. Probably had diabetes for about 10 years and didn't know it.

Yes,,,Both of my parents have type two..Some of the sympomts that my dad got was sleeping and drinking ALOT of water..My mom didnt have ne sympotms!
