It is called fruitatarian. It is extremely difficult. The theory behind it is nothing should die that I may eat. So a fruitatarian will not eat any animal meat or animal sourced food like eggs or dairy, but they take it one step further. A fruitatarian will also not eat anything where the plant has to die to feed them, like a carrot or any vegetable. See a fruit does not harm the plant it is picked off, in fact it helps that plant. However most vegetables are a plant, so by eating them you kill the plant. It is a bit extreme even to this vegan. It is very hard if not impossible to eat a balanced diet.

You will lose tons of weight on a fruit diet. There is actually a form of 'vegetarianism' called fruitarianism. There are pros and cons. It is a lifestyle with trial and errors. It's your health. I would suggest following a raw food diet if you're looking for weight loss and health as well. It is a lot more balanced and you'll have a lot more options.

i was on a trip with a girl who only ate fruit, she seemed very unhealthy, and waaay too thin. i know another lady who basically starved her brain by eating nothing but vegetables and now she is not right anymore. neither of these people were balancing their diets properly. if u only ate fruit that would probably be a bad thing.
