wow all the same answers! turn upside down or freeze it halfway. Sounds okay but not likely to do the trick fully. Are ya gonna crush the flower or freeze twice where its noticeably frozen in 2 different parts, super hard and kinda hard. Some folks are right when they said get a weight tied to the end of the stem. But how ya gonna get that weight out when its all frozen. The key is to weigh that flower down. Need a substance to give weight to it. Also anything part hollow will float or anything with air trapped. Have you tried different sinking methods? Spray adhesive, paint thinner, crazy glue, thin wire thru long ways of stem to hold in place, ya try putting it in a see thru container that would sink. Just brainstorming with ya buddy, hope ya project comes along well. And i wonder if that flower will stay colorful with no air? It may barely get water from melting ice and no air for it to breath. Might have a brown flower in a ice sculpture <:D
lol i think it'll work though lol now go do ya thing!

Make sure you used distilled water as it will freeze clear. Although if it just for a party you could use resin. Art forever :-)
As far as keeping the flower at the bottom you could use a couple of drops of hot wax to stick it to the bottom of your container and after it sets ( couple of mins) you can pour in the cold water. Works best with a glass or ceramic container. Didn't work so well with a metallic one though. What I prefer is to stick the flower withe super glue or wax to a flat piece of stone or glass coz that lets you move the flower to any position after you pour the water. Best of luck.

Fill your container halfway and put the flower in. It will float. Freeze the container and once it's forzen, fill it the rest of the way and freeze it again. The flower will then be suspended in the center.

you could fill a small container half full of water and hang the flower upside down tied to a string and a pencil to keep it hanging on the rim of the container and when that is frozen, fill up the rest and freeze it too

Why a real flower? If it is going to be frozen a silk flower would work much better and be heavier, no one would be able to tell the difference.

Let the surface of the water freeze first, then crack it, insert the flower, and put back int he freezer.
Oh, and use water that has been boiled. It will freeze clear, w/ no bubbles. HTH
