Gluconeogenesis is the process of the body creating sugar (glucose) from sources other than carbohydrates or glycogen (percursor to glucose... stored in the liver). Most commonly the sources are from proteins and fats/
Glycogenesis is when the body converts stored glycogen into glucose. Glycogen is easier for the body to store than glucose, but it has to be converted to glucose before it can be used by the body.
Glycolysis is the breakdown of glucose.... usually to excrete it from the body. LYSIS= destruction or breakdown.

Gluconeogenesis - Production of glucose from scratch (protein or fat precursors)
Glycogenesis - Production of glycogen from individual molecules of glucose
Glycolysis - Breakdown of glucose to yield ATP (energy) and other molecules which eventually make more ATP (Glucose is excreted from the body as glucose)

1) glu·co·ne·o·gen·e·sis
The formation of glucose, especially by the liver, from noncarbohydrate sources, such as amino acids and the glycerol portion of fats.
2) gly·co·gen·e·sis
The formation or synthesis of glycogen.
3) gly·col·y·sis
1. An ATP-generating metabolic process that occurs in nearly all living cells in which glucose is converted in a series of steps to pyruvic acid.
2. The metabolic breakdown of glucose and other sugars that releases energy in the form of ATP.

glycogenesis - biochemical process , occurring chiefly in the liver and muscle, by which glucose is broken down into glycogen
glycogenolysis - biochemical process, occurring chiefly in the liver and muscle, by which glycogen is broken down into glucose
This doesn't really have anything to do with diabetes
