Thry using it to create a simple marinade for chicken, and popping them into the oven, alternatively, you could try this recipe: Crispy Chinese Five-Spice Chicken Ingredients: Chicken thighs - 1 kg Light soy sauce - 2 tbsp Chinese rice wine - 1 tbsp Salt - ½ tbsp Sugar - 2 tbsp Five spice powder - 1 tsp Cornflour - 1 tbsp Oil for deep-frying - Eggs - 2 Cornflour for dipping - 8 tbsp Preparation: Marinate the chicken thighs in the light soy sauce, rice wine, salt, sugar, five-spice powder and corn flour for at least 30 minutes. Massage the marinade into the meat for really tasty chicken. Heat oil ready for frying, beat the egg slightly and dip the chicken into the egg and coat evenly with cornflour before putting into the oil. Deep-fry the chicken until golden brown. Remove from pan and drain. Notes: This recipe works just as well with other cuts of meat, for example chicken wings.
