Do they burn? Are you diabetic? If your feet are also numb, you may have neuroapthy. See a neurologist.

The *soles* (I don't know that feet have souls) of your feet could hurt from a number of things. It could be walking too much, it could be plantar fascitis, it could be wearing shoes without enough padding, or a thousand other things. If it is bothersome, visit a podiatrist - they may be able to help prevent your pain.

maybe you were on them too much the day before. try using different shoes one day, and see how they feel the next morning.
