Chlor Trimeton is pretty good. Has been around for many years. My son takes loratadine, with whatever brand name. It is an antihistimine, and doesn't make him sleepy. I suspect he has a mild cat dander allergy, and the loratadine keeps him from waking up with puffy eyes. We did cover his pillow and mattress with a non-allergenic cover.
