a broiler is a type of oven ( or part of an oven). It cooks at high heat, close to the good, almost always on TOP of the food.
Most US ovens have a broiler (a big filament sort of thing) on the roof of the oven. Many toaster ovens can broil.
Also, some chickens are called broilers.

The broiler is in the oven. It heats up to about 500 degrees and it cooks the food from the top of the oven. I usually make steaks this way or use it in the last few minutes of making things with cheese on top to lightly brown the cheese.

When you broil something, you put it in a shallow pan on the top oven rack and turn on the top elements. Leave the oven door open and inch or so (most oven doors have an automatic stop and hold position at about that point). Broiling cooks things fairly quickly, so you have to keep an eye on them -- but it is good!

A broiler is the American version of the UK grill - usually it's inside our oven space, at the top of the oven.

Ha, ha, what a laugh! I understand your confusion and so I will add some more to it. Well, where I come from a broiler is a chiken that has been laying eggs for a long time and has "retired". It is a tough one to cook and needs lots of boiling.

A broiler is also a heated pot. It is rectangular in shape, like a small tub. It has a lid that fits snuggly. It is used to cook things slowly.

I constantly concept the phrases have been interchangeable, yet did a sprint analysis and located they are 2 a number of issues. Frosting vs. Icing there's a brilliant distinction between frosting and icing. Frosting is thick and holds shapes like rosettes and shells like those you spot piped around the perimeters of a birthday cake. It maintains to be gentle to touch and has a creamy texture, and maximum folk think of it tastes extra useful because of the creamy buttery style. Icing, on the different hand, is a thinner, extra liquid substance, and because it dries it thins out, will become very gentle around the floor of your cookie, and hardens. this is the icing to apply for the main alluring, expert effects.

It's a device that broils things, by extremely hot (300F-500F for example) radiated heat, usually meat or it could mean a chicken raised for meat (rather than eggs).
