Only if you ask them. If you only asked them for HIV, that's what they are going to test for.
Check out this site to see how other STDS are tested for:

I don't think the clap shows up on blood tests-the only way is to get a vaginal swab during an exam. They are routinely done at 8 weeks pregnancy as a safety precaution "just in case"(which I despise) so I think if they could check for STDS by blood they would do it when they do the HIV test. I've been preggers 4 times now so I guess I should know? Good luck.

They cant.
When u go for test in the laboratory they are specific and can only do the required investigation. It will cost them more if they include another test which is not included in your case.
HIV test is only used to detect human immunne virus, that virus responsible for HIV/AIDS.Almost all the HIV test involve a technique known as ELISA which is enzyme linked immuno solvent assay. Its an antigen and antibodies reaction where by the if the reaction take place then the virus responsible is present and the result tend to be positive or reaction.
While different STDs have different laboratory techniques in detecting them not neccessarily ELISA as in case above.
So Rest asured when ever you go for specific tests the laboratory staff are exparts and limit their investigation to that particular test unless if its a wide range of test like FBC full blood count where blood and blood disorders are being looked up.
Incase if u wanted another test u have to go and take it later it might not be blood test for some stds.
best wishes.

The blood test only checks for HIV, which affects the blood. In order to check for others you have to do a urine test and a pap smear. It would be smart to get those done to because many STD's have no symptons and could cause cervical cancer and infertility. Good Luck!

Getting tested for HIV would never show you if you if you came up for any of the other STD's. Although you could be tested for syphilis with a sample of blood.

Usually they tell you if they are checking for other things. There was probably an informed consent document involved that they should have given you that would tell you what they were testing for.
If you are truly concerned, this would be a good thing to talk about with your doctor. Unless you know for sure that they tested you for other STDs, don't assume that they did. It's not worth the risk.

They check for chlamydia either by taking a sample of your vaginal cells or with a pee test. They can't check your blood, they can only do that for HIV and some forms of herpes I believe.

Only if they run a panel of test for STD's. You should have requested this when you went in for the AIDS test.
