If you are getting sick for no other explainable reason, than it's probably mold. All homes have mold in the walls (at least in the South), which will not bother you.

What sort of symptoms do you have? I ended up with a massive sinus infection from fungus, not black mold. In those first months after Katrina, there was a lot of crap in the air. The doctor gave me anti-fungal medication. What have you been around lately, gutted houses, oak trees, even newly refinished homes (sheetrock dust) can trigger your sinuses to go nuts.

You can go to the web site www.pionair.net, they have petry dishes you can get. You put them in different places in your home and then send them back to pionair and they can tell you what kind of mold you have and what to do about it.
Wrong about it being behind a wall it won't hurt you. When it comes to mold what you can't see CAN hurt you.

If I was you I would go to the docters, Im sure if anyone could tell you it would be them. But if for some reason u cant do that I would look it up and see what are symptoms to haveing it or what it would look like if u did have it.

if it is behind the walls you will be OK,
it's when you come in contact with it, that makes you sick, like when you remodel
