Actually, there has been a resurgence of cupcakes!! There are a couple of places in NYC who make nothing but cupcakes. They've become the 'it' item at weddings too. Instead of the towering, super expensive cakes some brides are choosing cupcake towers frosted in the wedding colors or covered in beautiful flowers; either fresh or made from icing or gum paste.

cupcakes are a great dessert - the right sized piece of cake with your own dollop of frosting - it's portable, nostalgic and pretty darned tasty! I like my own better than Cupcakery places - they're not always fresh and then I am disspointed when the cake is dry.

Cupcakes are sweets and of course anything bite sized that is sweet is always going to remain popular. The question is how do you display them for the type of party you are having. They have display type racks for cupcakes now that make them look a little less childlike.

Cupcakes, like muffins, will always be popular. Have you seen the beautiful wedding "cakes" they do with fancy decorated cupcakes using a dessert tiered tray? Beautiful, portable and delicious.

Very MUCH SO!! If you go to www.oprah.com and, the show (archive) Breakfast with Oprah where Mary J. Blige performed. They are the latest rage! In L.A. & N.Y. apparently. There's sugar free, you name it. They Look Absolutley DELICIOUS!! Also, GMA (Good Morning America) did a segment on it, probably last month or so. It's probably still on their website. ...they are with me. I like the chocolate cupcakes with an orange butter frosting and little candy corns on top! Maybe I was deprived of them in childhood...

definitely!!!...had a party for my daughter and I bought a cupcake cake at the local bakery...very quick and easy to serve...and totally cute!
