A lot of STIs don't show symptoms.
Genital herpes for example can take a while to show up. Usually it is about 2-14 days after being infected to have an initial outbreak. Mine didn't show up for about 3 weeks. Also, the longer you have genital herpes, the less outbreaks you typically have. The last outbreak I had was about a year and a half ago. I don't show any symptoms of having herpes, unless I am having an outbreak.
HPV (Human papillomavirus) is another STD that really has no symptoms. There are at least 30 different kinds and most people don't even know they have it, because there are no symptoms. It is the number one STD out there. However, a few kinds can cause genital warts, cervical cancer, and even rectal cancer. I got HPV when I got herpes about five years ago. I never had any problems with it, until about 2 years ago when I got cervical cancer, and then genital warts about 6 months ago. Woman usually find out they have HPV when a pap smear comes back abnormal or they develop genital warts. There is no test for men, so they tend to spread it real easily and not realize it.
I don't know when the last time you got a pap smear done, but you might want to make an appointment and get that done, along with an STD test including HIV. It's important that you take care of yourself and get tested. Cervical cancer kills about 300,000 woman a year. Your boyfriend may have got an STD from someone else, or you may have an STD and not realize it.
Please be careful. Good luck!

I got identified with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 7 years back, when I was still attending college and had a silly one-night stand. I understand loads of young ladies will say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date men again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl that has sores round her private parts? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/MPtlT everything changed.
Not only was I able to eradicate all remnants of the hsv from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to start dating once more. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so fortunate to write that just a week ago, in front of everybody in a packed cafe, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This program gave me back the opportunity to be happy and experience true love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the World.

First you need to establish this...are you faithful?...have you been with anyone else besides your boyfriend?..I see this everyday where I work..If you are faithful and your boyfriend indeed has a STD then he got if from someone else...also you need to know what he has...and you should go in and have check up including testing for HIV and all STD's they can tell right away if you have an infection which includes TRICH or BV or YEAST. GC and Chlamydia has to grow in a culture. Then once you have been tested they may go ahead and treat you with pills and a shot to cover everything..Your next decision is do you go back with this man who has exposed you?..not a hard decision..but I know this is alot to take in right now..please have you partner use protection all the time to avoid this problem..good luck

I know it's hard to believe that you could be infected with an STD, but it is possible. As far as who's to blame, I wouldn't say that it was just one of you. It doesn't matter who infected who...what matters is that you both get tested and treated before it gets passed to someone else. See below for more specific STD info. And try to use protection from now on.
Typically the bacterial infections (chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and trichomoniasis) take anywhere from a few days to a month to show symptoms, if they show symptoms at all! Most of these won't show symptoms for a few months, so someone could be spreading it without knowing they are doing so. FYI - trich doesn't show symptoms in men most of the time, only women. These are all treated with medication and go away, unless your partner doesn't get tested and/or treated as well.
The viral infections are different. Herpes, HPV (genital warts), HIV/AIDS, and Hepatitis are all viral STD infections. Herpes and HPV usually show symptoms within a month, while HIV and Hepatitis don't typically show symptoms - sometimes for years at a time. The only specific testing information I know is for HIV - it takes about 3 months before a test can MOST EFFECTIVELY detect a level of antibodies in your system. If you are worried about HIV infection, make sure that you abstain from any risk behaviors (unprotected sex, sharing needles, or unprotected contact with blood, breast milk, vaginal secretions, or semen) for 3 months before getting tested. These can use medications to treat symptoms, but until there is a cure for these, you'll have the virus with you for the rest of your life. If you have unprotected sex after that, then you will more than likely pass the virus to someone else.
If you're worried about any STD exposure, go to a doctor or clinic and get tested. They will talk to you about your risk behaviors/level and they will be able to answer more specific questions for you.

When you sleep with one you are also sleeping with all their previous partners, condoms are a necessity in today's age
Not all STD have an immediate affect, some incubate and can be impossible to even detect. I have done quite a lot of study and if you think there is ANY chance you could have a STD then get it checked out asap.
Because of one slip up it doesn't mean you will get a STD but don't take the chance for a a little passion.
YOU are in control of your life, not your partner....BE CAUTIOUS!
Just remember all those who said "It wouldn't be ME" and now got some STD because they seriously believed it wouldn't be them.

Be very careful, there are a number of STDs that you can get that have "silent" symptoms until at one point or another you become ill, or realize that you have contracted an STD.
ALWAYS use protection!
Go to your Doctor to be examined, for all you know your boyfriend may just be making this up so you'll break up with him. Good Luck :-)

Depending on what he has, you could have given it to him if you've had sex with others without a condom. Some things like Trichamonous and Chylmidia can be dormant without symptoms and you could be a carrier and not know it.
Please get yourself checked out, that way you'll know for sure. If you do have it, HE could be the carrier and he gave it to you. You just never know. That's why you need to always always wear a condom.

Some diseases have long incubation periods. Just because you don't have any symptoms now doesn't mean you haven't been infected. Talk to your physician and he can advise you on the best course of medical treatment if he deems it necessary.
