There are a few things that can be happening with the symptoms that you have described. It could be many things asthma, heart attack or allergies to name a few. But those are life threatening conditions that would have landed you in the emergency room by now.

Based on the tone of your question and the fact that you are experiencing chest pain, you could be having an anxiety attack. If you have alot of anxiety and stress in your life it could be a panic disorder, which seems more likely since you feel like you are losing your mind. I will say for certain that regardless, you need to see a doctor. I am positive that your town has a free clinic that you can visit without your parents tagging along. A doctor will give you a proper diagnosis.

Update: Based on the extra stuff you've added, yes I believe that you are having an anxiety attack. The chest pain, the excessive worrying, yep anxiety. Being obese could be putting extra strain on your heart, so losing weight would be a great idea.

I still recommend seeing a doctor just to be safe. The best thing I can tell you to do about finding a good doctor is to look in the phone book under social services and find a local free clinic in your area. Try not to get yourself worked up so much and develop a relaxation technique.

I predict another attack coming. The next time you feel your chest start to tighten and you breaths become short take a deep cleansing breath and imagine yourself in your safe place. Your safe place is where you go in your mind to be calm. It can be your bedroom, the beach, anywhere. When you go to your safe place, try to drop yourself into it by imagining the sights, sounds and smells. Breath in through your nose out throught your mouth. See if that works.

I know it is very difficult because it seems to perpetuate itself - you must calm down. Use this breathing technique - As you breathe in count to 4. Hold your breath for another count of 4, Release the breath for a count of 4, hold it again for a count of 4 and start over again. You may be having Panic Attacks. Another thing that will help is to eat lots of Greens - get rid of Sugar and White Flour and high Fat Foods. Get exercise every day - it will help you to sleep. And tell your parents that you are stressed out and you need someone to talk to. Just Understand - I've been there. You will Survive. And if you have any chest pains with Numbness down your arm - call 911 If Your parents will listen - tell them that it would be helpful to take a Green Food Supplement. It will help you get all your Veggies and b Vitamins - it will probably help you loose weight too. And I'm here if you want to email me. Now - if after You do the breathing exercise about 5 times and it doesn't seem to help, you really should check with your Family Dr. Call and make the appt - put it on the calendar, tell them why you need the appt and that your parents aren't supportive. If your parents are really as bad as you think - they'll call to cancel the appt. The Nurse you talk to can hopefully explain to your parents why you need to go. And if that fails - 911 is always available.

I don't know about any hot lines, but based on what you said your weight may be a problem, or more specifically, your oxygen utilization is poor due to your diet impairing the Krebs cycle.

The solution is only eat when hungry, and then only what makes you stronger, more energetic, and alert. You shouldn't be sleepy or tired after eating, if you're eating for your health, and well being. Never eat because you're bored or angry, and avoid hydrogenated oils, refined sugars, and animal fats, since they impair the aerobic function (Oxygen for energy), and tend towards disease. Chew your food thoroughly each bite before taking another, eat what smells most appetizing, not to excess, and walk after meals.

If you follow the above you should maintain as much as may be in your control for your health. Anything more serious you should find some way to visit a doctor, or other medical professional. Try to get into some sort of school, whether, private, religious, or public, as this'll give some perspective away from your parents.

The problem with your parents will ultimately have to be resolved between you and them if it's not severe enough to involve the law though. Try to be at peace with them, and be as helpful as possible, as this may aid in their leniency with you, and make things easier and more pleasant for all.

Regardless of all things God bless. I do hope you try your best resolve this in peace without upset.

You really need to see a Dr. Worrying yourself to pieces does not help you or your symptoms. Do you have grandparents, aunts or any other extended family that can take you? Some places such as Target, Wal-mart or even the mall may have a clinic in them where you can at least talk with someone (medical professional) and not get into trouble from your family. Also, you might consider calling the local Emergency Room and speaking with someone there. Or maybe there is a phone triage place where you can speak with an RN. Or call your Dr yourself and see what they say...maybe they can call your home and speak with your parent and make an appt for a yearly physical or some other "excuse" to get you in the office so the Dr. can see you. Do you need a tetnus booster, MMR? That is one way to get you in the office.
Good Luck.

Are you really stressed out or worried, which could be causing it? Maybe you should get a second opinion from a different doctor or ask to have some examinations to determine if it could be from some sort of problem. My mother went to the emergency room once when she was having difficulties breathing normally and felt a tightness in her chest, but it was just due to her being really stressed out and she was fine after a few hours or so. Hope you feel better!

you need to have it checked out. If you are young enough that you're parents are in charge, maybe you need to do something through your school. If you have any problems with your lungs it's not anything to play with. If they don't take you to the doctor it's child abuse. If you really are having these problems, I suggest you have your school send you home for the problem then it's documented. It's a bit extreme, but your parents can't choose that your health is worth risking because it's inconvient. If it is something minor, I personally think it's abuse to make you suffer through something that can be easily fixed. You need to tell them. I have a high heart rate and asthma, I understand how scary it can be. YOU'RE LIFE IS WORTH ANY FALSE ALARMS!!! It would be better to go to the hospital or doctor 1,000 time then have anything happen to you!!! Think about it.

Since you are only 14 you can't just go to the doctor yourself so have a relative take you. Try talking to your parents and let them know in a nice way that the law says in most states that if you are under a certain age and your parents have ignored the situation they can go to jail for failure to seek medical treatment. If no one will help you call the ambulance the next time it happens and you are home alone and at least you will get a preliminary check up.
Good luck!

You could be hyper vinalating.Nerves will cause this. You could also be having a asma attack.I`ve had problems like that before and I was alergic.I have bad allerys and sometimes that can cause shotness of breath. But let me stress.GO to the doctor.Parents will get over it.Make sure there`s nothing really wrong with you.Its scary when you can`t breath right.Maybe the doctor will give you an inhailer to open up your lungs.Good Luck.Don`t wait.

You really need to go to a doctor...ASAP!!
Sit down & talk to your parents. Be calm when you are talking to them. Explain to them that you understand they don't like doctors, but are afraid that there is really something wrong with you. If they refuse to take you, ask a friend to or while at a friend's house, ask their parent to take you. I understand the importancy of obeying your parents, but you could have a serious medical condition. If you're still in school, talk to the school nurse. Better yet, when you get a page full of responses(which I'm sure you will), print it out so they can realize if strangers are concerned, then maybe they should be too.
Good Luck...go see a doctor!!!
