Atenolol is a beta blocker. It slows down the heart rate and lowers the blood pressure. Beta blockers are also used in pts with Congestive heart failue, so their heart doesnt have to work as hard to pump the blood.

atenol .. or did ya mean to say atenolol.. no offence babe.. but atenolol's th drug used for high blood pressure, or hypertension.
anyhow, hypertension's a pretty common diease, n the way to go about it is exercise, yoga and regular medication after consulting ur physician.. it may lead to stroke or heart attacks.. so u better take good are of ur patient.. if u need anymore free advice, feel free to ask! take care

blood pressure. I took it in my 20's to control a heart condition I have that causes me to faint. Most people take it for problems with high blood pressure.
