My sis is a vegitarian and we do bbq together all the time! Her favorite-and now mine too-is grilled portebello mushrooms. By themselves or as a burger!
I don't know what quorn burgers are but gardenburgers or morning star burgers are good. Lots of stuff in freezer section besides that too. Morning star makes a whole line of stuff but it is kinda expensive.
Sounds like they being a little difficult. Most veggies learn to adjust to the situation and will eat what they can or what is offered as side dishes.

Quorn tikka kebabs - everyone will love them, inc meat eaters.

Get one bag of qourn pieces, one big tub of natural live yoghurt & a jar of tikka paste.

Put the yoghurt, qourn pieces & two tablespoons of tikka paste into a bowl (with a lid). Stir them all together, ensuring the pieces are all covered. They need to marinade in this for about one hour.

After an hour, place them onto skewers (kebab style) and cook until slightly burnt - they do taste even better with burnt edges. Don't worry if you ubdercook them, it's not gonna kill you.

If the weather turns, they can be cooked in the oven. They taste great hot or cold, but just make sure you cook these before you cook any meat.....

Enjoy

Pineapple coleslaw:
2 C raw cabbage and 1 C pineapple chunks
1/4 C chopped bell pepper and celery
Dress with 1/2 C white vinegar and 1T Sugar (or sugar substitute).
You might want to increase this recipe because most people like it and with no mayo it can sit outside safely during the summer BBQ time.

You could also make a Fire and Ice Salad:
Tomatoes, cucumber, mozzarella cheese with a lemon juice/white balsamic vinegar/extra virgin olive oil dressing seasoned with fresh french thyme.
For a more filling main course type of salad add cold pasta with kidney beans and green beans.

This way you have nice salads for your other guests and the vegetarian has good food to eat as well.

Good luck and happy summer to you :o))

They have told you what they don't want, have they said anything they do want eat.

We eat potatoes, corn on the cob with salads (pasta, rice or green salad). You could try mushroom, bean or tofu burgers, veggie sausages or something like falafel. Provide plenty of dips and things.

Remember to keep the veggie food away from the meat and use different utensils. Hope you manage to find something for your vegetarian guest.

Mushroom burgers. Get 2 large mushrooms, bbq as normal. At the same time grill hallumi or mozzarella cheese and beef tomato slices. Build as a normal burger using the mushrooms as the bun.. Don't forget to add mayo or sauce etc.

This is just me, but I *love* tofu barbecue: Slice 1" thick slices of pressed extra-firm tofu. Marinate in your chosen barbecue sauce. Grill until brown on both sides. Dump on more sauce. Otherwise, what were you thinking of as "the barbecue"--the veggie burgers? I have never used any of them for barbecue, but I can sure recommend the Mushroom-Lovers variety in the sauce-free state. The Original are good as well in the Morning Star brand and would probably be fine marinated or cooked with sauce. What's for dessert? See links to Pig Pickin' Cake, Banana Split Cake, Japanese Fruit Cake, Mississippi Mud Cake.

Gardenburger, Boca and Morningstar Farms all make pretty tasty grill friendly meat substitutes. We like the Boca Italian Style Sausages - serve with peppers and onions. The Veggie Medley Gardenburger is also very good. If you don't want to use meat substitutes you can grill polenta or make grilled pizza - a tortilla or pita work well.

my vegan hubby is happy with veggie burger patties. you can buy them in the frozen foods section of some grocery stores or in health food stores. and they don't taste like "fake food" or imitation meat ("quorn").

brush the patties on both sides with oil and grill quickly for a couple of minutes per side until nicely grilled but not black -- they don't take long to cook.

here's a good recipe that won't taste like "quorn":

1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained, and rinsed
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
1/4 cup onions, finely chopped
1 carrot, shredded
1/2 cup red bell peppers, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons tomato paste or ketchup
1/2 teaspoon salt
pepper, to taste

1. Throw all ingredients in food processor (or blender, if you dont have one).
2. Pulse (or blend) until coarsely chopped.
3. Chill mixture, then shape into four (4) 1/2-inch thick patties.
4. Now you can wrap and freeze them for later.
5. To cook, thaw patties in microwave, then broil 4-6 inches from heat for 10 to 15 minutes (or until warm in the middle). You can do this in your broiler or on the grill.
6. Serve like you do your favorite meat patties!

good luck!

My wife is a veggie she eats boca burgers, Veggie dogs, Veggie sausage, Potatoes, Corn on the cob, Beans(that's what the side burner is for) Salad not iceberg veggies can tell the difference. Try not to touch the meat with the same utensils as the veggie it just grosses them out.
