....from people at my work. Everyone bugged me to have this big bash. So of course, I spent all this money on food & liqour (which i really didnt have) and everone said theyd be there. Noone showed up & didnt even have the decency to call. All except for 5 people! What should i say to them that'll make them feel like crap? (remember...since i have to work with them, it cant be vulgar. I wish)

I don't think I'd say anything. Take the high road. Rise above it. And don't waste your energy on people who don't deserve it.
Be classy.
It very well may make them feel badly about being so rude..
It will definitely make you feel like a million bucks.

If it was me, I would add up the receipts all you spent, divide it by the number of people you work with and give them each a bill. I would photo copy the receipts and include that in your bill. I wouldn't say a thing other than here is a bill for your share of the party. That should get them thinking! And next time, just say no.

That happened to me too!!! I simply told everyone at work that was the LAST party I would be giving and how rude they were not to at least call and cancel.

I know this sounds childish they weren't your friends to begin with so they wont care if your upset just don't talk to them exept professionally(I know I need a dictionary in front of me) anyway this is just a lesson to be learned for next time. hopefully there won't be a next time. just chalk this one up for experience. and if you want to get even get on happily with your life( I know easier said then done but please try)

ask them why they wanted u 2 have the party, then tell them how u worked ur butt off 2 make that party and tell them they owe u 4 all of that liquor!!!
