The reason you can swim in the pool without spreading/contracting herpes is NOT because of the chlorine in the pool. It's because herpes is not a water-borne or water transmitted virus. Although chlorine in the correct dilution could kill many viruses, you simply would have no idea what concentration of chlorine (sodium hypochlorite) is in the water. Because it is up to 16 year-old lifeguards to monitor the chlorine level, and because the chlorine level can change rapidly and drasticly due to conditions like alkalinity, amount of direct sunlight, depth of the pool, amount of algea in the pool and number of bathers, I wouldn't count on the chlorine to kill the virus. Hepatitus-A is a water-borne virus. It could be transmitted in a pool. However, when swimming in a pool, you have something else on your side. DILUTION. The amount of virus carried by an individual is diluted in 25,000 to 100,000 gallons of water. Then it is subject waterever bactericidal agents are present in the water. So, regardless if you are in a pool or a lake or an ocean, viral spread is not likely to occur. Hottubs are a different issue. If a person with Hep-A were to bathe in a hottub that had no bactericidal agents present, transmission of the virus could occur because a hottub only holds a few hundred gallons of water, heated to the perfect temperature for many viruses to live. Hope that helps.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/CuresHERPES2015FHKb

Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

You can swim in a pool if you have herpes. It will not be transmitted to anyone else because of the chlorine in the water. Go have fun!

Of course you can. Herpes is only spread through sex and direct contact.

I got genital herpes when I was just 17 years old. I live in Arizona so I went swimming all the time with my brothers, parents, and friends, and NONE of them has ever contracted herpes from me.

My best friend has had genital herpes for about eight months now, and it's been really rough. She's had about 7 outbreaks. Everywhere I read it says it stops flaring up so much after time, but its not getting less frequent for her. She's been on Antiviral meds the whole time, too. She also has type 1 diabetes which she has had her whole life, which really weakens her immune system. Will it ever get better?

But after a friend share this video everything has changed.

Herps is a very infecious complaint so in all fairness to others I would not go into pool. and the chloride in the water may be to strong or weak and could make the complaint worse. go the a family clinic or chemist and discuss it more thoroughly. heal yourself first.

The chlorine that is in pools, hot tubs, and shower water kills virus. Soap of course instantly kills virus. One can find occasional reports of people who claim that they have contracted herpes from a hot tub. But, such a case must be extremely rare.

You shouldn't be able to spread it that way... Herpes is a Sexually Transmitted Desease. Not Pool Transmitted Desease.
