Emphysema has affected my life. My mother died of it Tuesday.

I have asthma. The thing that has in way affected my life the most is the fact that when I was younger, my mom was really protective of me and wouldn't let me get involved in a lot of activities because of it. When I was a kid, I never really played outside during the winter and I never got involved in sports. Thankfully I had natural talent in a few activities so never getting to take classes didn't hurt me as much as it could've. Today I live a basically normal life, other than not being able to have a cat or be near smokers. I have to use my inhaler in public sometimes, but usually people understand why and it's not as big of a deal as it was when I was in middle school or high school.

If you have a respiratory disease you are obviously limited to certain activities such as sports or other recreational activities. You are also pron to other diseases moreso then someone without the condition.

I'm asthmatic it could be worse so you no, but all the same it is annoying, i mean you kind of feel stupid sometimes coz you have to use your inhaler in front of people and they always ask you if you are ok and its embarrassing, right?
also i really want a dog but cant because it makes my asthma flare up but still you no like i said it could be worse

Well it really stinks because I cant exercise like I really would like to I have exercise induced asthma and allergy induced asthma and allergic to dust mites which cause asthma attacks. Sometimes you just have to live with it but make sure that you use your inhalers, this has been for some reason a really bad year for myself.

Of course it does!!!

you can't breath right, you can't exercise, you can't really do the things you want to do because you are out of breath.

but it does depend on how bad the disease is in you.

If you can't breathe there's not much else you can do either.
