Well, first of all, you have to know that hypertension is not curable yet, but it is manageable, with a good treatment, that you shouldn't leave not even having a normal 120/80 arterial tension.
Now, the cause of hypertension is unknown in most of the cases, however it is known that genetic factors play an important role on its development... Those, plus other factors such as Psychogenic factors (such as stress); renal troubles; Oral contraceptives; endocrine; High sodium and calcium levels, etc, etc, etc.
My suggestion is for you to relax, follow a good treatment, do exercise, eat healthy (forget about salt and fat stuff) and visit your doc frequently

The causes of hypertension are given below.
Age. Over time, the number of collagen fibers in artery and arteriole walls increases, making blood vessels stiffer. With the reduced elasticity comes a smaller cross-sectional area in systole, and so a raised mean arterial blood pressure.
High salt intake
Sedentary lifestyle
Tobacco smoking
Alcoholism
High levels of saturated fat in the diet
Obesity - In obese subjects, losing a kilogram of mass generally reduces blood pressure by 2 mmHg.
Stress
Low birth weight
Diabetes mellitus
Various genetic causes
Occupational, aircraft and roadway noise exposure.
In fastfoods, Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is widely used. It causes feeling of pressure in head, tightness of face and seizures. So please avoid such foods.

Please DON'T TEACH English. Get your health issues lined out first, exercise, diet, medication, etc. Then realize what you love and do that.
