Outback Steak House is my number one restaurant. Next there is IHOP and if you visit St. Louis , Missouri, visit Ruth Chris's, they have fine dinning, a little on the expensive side but they serve the best steak in town.

Commander's Palace in New Orleans, Shula's in Tampa, Florida, or Perry's in Dallas. All are first class on food, service and atmosphere.

Fast Food: Subway
Buffet-Style: Golden Corral
But the classier/more expensive restaurants vary from town to town (as they are usually not franchises) so its hard to recommend those.
