No information about what heart condition?Well after surgery children feel better,have more appetite,eat or drink better.They gain weight.So there is bound to be a change in appearance

What do you mean by "appearance"? Are you talking about their facial looks or body looks. If they had an open heart surgery that required opening the chest area to get to the heart there will likely be a scar on the chest area. Nowadays some surgeries can be done with minimal "cutting" and they go in through a few small incisions and do most of the surgery with probes and cameras thus eliminating the "zipper" on the chest.
