Do any of your believe that you can catch the STD Trich from something else OTHER than sex?

I went to the doc for a check up and he told me i had this std, i havent slept with ANYONE other than my husband and he swears he hasnt slept w/ anyone but me, so do you really think its possible to get this STD from a toilet or somethingt like that???

Trich is a STD that isn't passed by a toilet seat...I am not making any accusations and I see this daily at my job as a nurse but I tell my patients that if you are faithful and only sleep with your partner and no one else then the other person has had to be fooling around and gotten the STD to pass to you...I am sorry but if this is the fact then your husband has passed this on to you. Both of you need to be tested and treated and also he needs to wear a condom if you have sex...also you both need to be re-tested to make sure you have been cured..good luck..

Your husband could have had this infection for years. Sometimes STD's are subtle and people are not aware that they have them. Did your MD find this infection on a routine check or did you go because you had a discharge? Look at the circumstances at how it was found. He did however get it from someone else -before or after you were married.
