As for makeup, if they are consistent, they should only use the ones which haven't been tested on animals (not too many brands, but a few).

a true vegan wont eat any dairy products, or any kind of meat....i.e. fish, chicken or red meats. nor will they use any products of any kind used on animals, or any with animal byproducts in them.......(very hard to find unless u go to a vegan store like "Squeekers" in Findlay, Ohio.)

A vegetarian only doesnt eat meat products, but does use dairy products. Products tested on animals, or with animal byproducts in it........is usually only on personal preference.
