Yes, its good for weight loss. It tastes like butt, so you won't be eating much of it.

Also, it makes your breath smell like a horse stall. But, you won't have any issues with constipation - it really greases the skids.

The spas paint it on you and call it a body wrap then further claims that it draws out toxins in the skin (so theoretically yes, you can lose weight from it that way). Now if you're talking about eating it, I would have to say yes only if it was part of a major change it diet. Eating seaweed alone will not make you shrink (unless that is all you eat), but it will do wonders for your hair and nails! Put it this way - it's the same as if you started eating carrots all the time. It needs to be part of a bigger plan. Common sense should tell you that it is not a "natural magic pill." If it was there'd be a lot more thinner people roaming the world!

apparently there is no scientific evidence, although I have heard of this being used by people but I would not be able to tell you if it does work or not.

You lose weight by substituting things rather than adding them, so there is no direct answer to your question.

However, seaweed is healthy and provides a high concentratin of vitamins and minerals, I think it's even better than broccoli. However, if you slap it on a quarter pounder with cheese, the hamburger is going to be so bad that it's really pointless to eat anything healthy with it.
