Almost every Vietnamese grocery (also Thai, and some Chinese ones too), have have coconut milk. You acn make by buying a coconut breaking open the shell. Don't bother removing the thin brown layered material. Cut up the coconut meat and chop it up in a blender. Place the coconut meat in a bowl and subject it to an extraction of 2 to 2 and a half cups of hot Rthe mixture through several layers of cheese cloth. The first extraction yields thick cocnut milk. Repeat once to yield thin coconut milk. Use the milk, or freeze it down. Coconut milk spoils very quickly. The spent, remaining coconut solids can be quickly dried and toasted or discarded. (composted).
Coconut milk is used in the quisines of South India, Sri Lanka (a.k.a. Ceylon), Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia. it is also used in some of the dishes of the quisines of Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Penang, etc., etc.
Selamat Makan.

Asian grocery stores are your best bet. If you do not have access to one or are intimidated by shopping in a "foreign" market, you can find Malaysian curry and other Malaysian goods at:
