To all who said tomato is a fruit just b/c it has seeds....
what about peppers? cucumbers? These aren't fruit.

there is one easy way to determine if something is a fruit or vegetable - does it have any seeds? all plants with a seed are considered a fruit (ie tomato, avacado, plum, apple). if they do not have a seed, then they are a vegetable (ie potato, corn, asparagus).

both are so tasty especially this time of year!!!

all fruits have seeds on the inside of them, vegetables dont tend to.

It has seeds, it's juicy, and it's bright red. It also comes from a flower like fruits do; it's not a stem or leaves or a root or anything like that.

because all fruits grow on trees or on vines, like tomatoes grow on vines, but all vegetables grow out of the ground like corn or carrots.
