sometimes you may not know, that is the scary thing, usually if you are having an abnormal discharge, cramping, bleeding between periods, opens sores or scabs, warts or extreme pain you have already had the STD for a while. Go get a full spectrum STD scan, everything from HIV to Bacterial Vaginitis.

Go see a Doctor and get tested.
And while you're there ask about condoms and safe sex.
Some std's can cause you serious trouble like insanity or infertility and even death.
