ok, i see people don't get or have never been to a "white party" before. THE PEOPLE ARE DRESSED IN ALL WHITE...but that's as far as it goes. if u go with all white decor, that's cool. if u go with color, pick 1 color. it will make everything stand out more. like red or black or silver (which is what would be my choice because it's close to white but still gives it definition) . i would stay away from the BBQ sauces because of the possibility of the mess. but if u must have things with red sauces, but them on a stick ! and have them in bite size (party wings, sweet and sour meatballs, etc.). plenty of salads (coleslaw, macaroni, potato & reg salads), fruit trays, veggie trays, mini sub sandwiches.grilled shrimp. keep it simple and light (which is what i think of when i think of all white parties)....think PDIDDY (who is famous for his all white parties)

White ballons are cheap, and can give a very floaty, light . . . white feeling. Fill dozens of them up with different amounts of helium so they kind of float and drift around the room like bubbles. In some areas out of the way, you can even have some on the floor. If everything is draped in white sheets, this will be a very neat effect, and gives some interest without having to add color.

white finger/party foods: sushi and most fish and seafood, sticks of mozzerella and other white cheeses with decrusted french bread, cauliflower and white mushrooms with a white ranch dip, peeled apple slices and bananas (with fruitfresh), pale crackers covered in cream cheese, white chocolates.

for a full dinner: white fish with white rice. or deskinned chicken with a white cream sauce with mashed potates and sour cream and a side of white hominy or steamed cauliflower with butter or dressing

Ooo I love white parties...and they aren't racist, everyone wears white and all the food and decorations are white. Some suggestions:

-Make sure the drinks are clear liquid, because if everyone is wearing white, you'd hate to have a cran and vodka spill. I suggest sprite and raspberry vodka...delicious and clear.

-For decorations...white throw pillows, white table covers, lots of candles and white paper Chinese lanterns hanging everywhere...it will give it a swanky club look.

-For food, a dessert bar would be fun, because there aren't a ton of white recipes. It would be neat to have cake, cupcakes and all sorts of white candies arranged on a big table. You could serve cheesecake, any sort of cake covered in vanilla frosting, white chocolate truffles, shortbread cookies, chocolate strawberries dipped in white chocolate, snowball cookies, white m&m's, peppermints, jordan almonds, etc.

Good luck, and whatever you decide on have fun!

Of course everything is white--but you, you should wear red but do not tell anyone before hand. Food could be popcorn, angel food cake, vanilla ice cream, mashed potatoes etc. Many white flowers, just look. Cover your furniture with white sheets and tie with a ribbon to hold in place.

What's a white party?

First off, this is the second ques I have seen on 'white parties' - what is the deal - I don't understand!

There is a variety of squash that is white - called umbrella, white, knuckle. Slice, spread w/ butter, salt & pepper and parm cheese and broil until tender.

Mix instant rice w/ equal parts chicken broth and bottled alfredo sauce (enough to make up the liquid called for on the box). Bake at 350, covered, until rice has absorbed all the liquid.

Serve fondue made w/ white choc w/ angel food cake chunks for dippers.

Serve fondue made w/ white chedder and/or swiss cheese w/ french bread and roasted chicken breast chunks for dippers. Season chicken w/ garlic powder and white pepper.

For both the fondue ideas, pretzel sticks make great dipping sticks - no worries about germs on dipping stick since you eat it too!

Make small biscuits (close enough) and serve w/ baked pork tenderloin (the other white meat). Season w/ garlic powder and white pepper.

Roasted garlic heads, served as a spread w/ bagel chips or french toast rounds.

Or, if you can find white peaches where you live (try farmers market or place like that) layer those w/ whipped cream and angel food cake slices.

Pineapple sherbert served in white choc desert cups.

You can order custom m&m's thru their website in white.

Make a pasta dish using cheese stuffed tortalini (can purchase in a dried or fresh form) and bottled alfredo sauce. Add canned white crab meat (chicken of the sea, I think) for meat.

Serve white wine, or punch made by placing a brick of pineapple sherbert (yes, its white) in punch bowl and pouring ginger ale over it.

Have white cranberry juice blends to mix w/ ginger ale or vodka. Champage cocktails would be fun, too.

Check out the wedding/bridal shower section of your local party store. Usually you can find a white on white design plates/napkins.

For decorations, use different varities of white flower (real or silk). Mix them all up in clear vases filled w/ white or iridescent pebbles. Use flat glass bowls, place 3 pillar/votice candles of different heights, surround w/ a layer of white/iridescent pebbles and add water to 1/2 way up shortest candle.

Pasta Alfredo for a main course. Vanilla Ice cream with angle cake and whip cream for desert. No red Wine. Vodka would be nice. Look on-line for Puff Daddies stories he hosted on last year.

Vanilla ice cream, mashed potatoes, cream sauces on chicken breasts. Frankly, it sounds awfully bland and dull.
