May be there is no Monday in China!

Chinese takeaways are usually family businesses. You can't expect someone to work 24/7, surely?

The beginning of the week is usually the quietest for all restaurants and takeaways, whatever the cuisine, so why not take the day off on Monday? Simple really! =)

I believe that Monday is the chinese' religious day, like our Sunday - though one of the chinese' by us closes on a tuesday and cashes in on all the others being closed on a monday!

They just select what they think will be most quiet day of the week sales-wise, and they take it as their day off. Where I used to live, we had 3 Chinese take-aways on one street! One of them was closed on Mondays, one on Tuesdays, and the other on Thursdays!! If someone opens a fourth, it will probably close on Wednesdays!! (With Friday being the start of the week-end and therefore busy!!)

COME ON there is no "Monday is Chinese religious day".

They hate mondays as much as anyone do.
I'm suspecting that their staff spit/drop food less on other days, so they're doing everyone else a favour.
LOL.
Actually, weekends are crowded, and good for business, so they don't close. They probably pick the day where there's less business = less loss for their off day.
Pretty business-savvy I'd say.

Probably just cause they open really long hours on Sat . Hair salons are the same. Loads of the close Sunday and Monday as their weekend.

They're probably open on the weekend, so need to give staff a day off. Monday may not be a particularly busy day for them?!

Because they get enough of queer's like you the other six days of the week.
And before you talk crap buddy you best make sure the person you're talking it to isn't crazy enough to hunt you down.Just because you're hiding behind a computer doesn't mean you can't be found.
