Are you a vegetarian and why, if so?

annnnd, do you think that just by being called a veget1rian you've gotten a bad rap, 'cause of the arain in your title, like alien?

By sheeeeer.......... choice . Love vg food, taste and variety .
Couldnot develop taste buds for non-veg except for milk and milk products .
Well, as for rep goes.........................my friend at times do insist and force me to taste chicken . I have no issues that its a dead animal . I just dont enjoy eating it .But i dont mind if others are having .
Still if somebody goes overboard , i tell them its a matter of personal choice .
Simple as that .

What do you mean by 'arain' in your title? & why would you get a bad rap for deciding not to eat meat?? I've been a vegetarian for over 8 years, I've only ever been asked why I don't eat meat, one of the reasons is I cannot stand the idea of eating the flesh of an animal. I love animals too much! and I espeically don't impose my vegetarianism on others. I am not obese, I'm not unhealthy, I'm not lacking in Iron. Being a vegetarian doesn't mean you are limited in your choice of foods, in fact you have a greater variety!!

I don't eat meat because of all the growth hormones and antibiotics they force into the animals. Ever wonder if the growth hormones in the meat cause accelerated cancer growth in humans? Why is childhood cancer on the rise (GOT MILK?) More and more bacteria are becoming antibiotic resistant The government not only allows this but subsidizes it. Self protection of my health is my reason.

I'm a vegetarian. I don't like thinking about eating animals... I have pets and I love them very much and it just grosses me out to eat flesh especially when it is constructed so similarly to that of my pets and myself. It gives me cold shivers! I know I don't have a bad reputation because I'm a vegetarian. I don't care if other people eat meat and I don't try to convert my friends. When people find out that I'm a vegetarian, they are totally cool with it. I haven't met anyone who disliked me because of that probably because I'm so willing to agree to disagree. It's seriously not a big deal.

I try not to eat meat, fish, or dairy products because of the nature of the modern food production industry. It's harmful to the environment, harmful to the workers, and of course harmful to the animals... and these animals are so pumped up with antibiotics and hormones that it's probably harmful to your health to ingest them, too. Now, my dad hunts, and I'll eat the things he kills cuz they haven't had to live horrible lives because they're going to eventually get eaten. And they're not pumped full of chemicals. And my dad isn't contaminating groundwater with tons of poop.

there are trbes in africa who life soley onmilk and beef. They're very tall athletic and healthy.
I know vegetarian Indian women that are obese.
Whatever suits. Can't see the point in wondering if your stirfry contains fish or oyster sauce. Stops you enjoying your food.

yeahh i am, i've been one for almost two years and i guess its just because i like animals and i live on a lot of property and im kind of like a "nature girl" haha its weird my dad hunts and i dont mind i think its his decision i just dont believe in it. I dont think i have a bad rap i nevr thought abt it? and i dont really care, ill eat what i want haha

I am cuz i do not like eating animals. no i haven't gottne a bad REP but peeps do tend to ask y would i do that. I love animals too much to eat them. Sry if u dont like my ways of life. tough!

No, I'm not.....I've seen way too many who have messed up their health going meat-less. The typical American diet has way too much meat in it. We need to cut back, but not cut out our meat consumptiion...
