Tomato is scientifically a fruit, but the Supreme Court in the US once declared it a vegetable for economic/political reasons in 1893.

Fruit is the seed bearing part of the plant, so therefore a tomato is strictly a fruit, doesn't matter when we eat it or what with or whether we cook it, it is all to do with the part of the plant it develops from. Vegetables are formed from other parts of the plant.

According to me tomato is a fruit, as it finally turns ripe and becomes a fruit. It certainly cannot be a vegetable.

Yes, tomatoes are fruit because they grow on a vine (like grapes) and they also have seeds (does this mean that a cucumber is a fruit also?). Thank you for your question.

Oh, yes. It's one of those things you learn young - tomatoes are fruit, even if you treat them like a vegetable. It's the seeds, you know...

Nope, It's consider a Veggie.
If you look at Ordinary Salad, sometimes they accompany by tomato.
If you look at Fruit Salad, hardly for me to find tomato in there.
Depends on how you'd like to do with a tomato.

Yes.
Don't forget, fruits grow on trees and bushes and vines,
eg. apple tree
eg. grape vine
basically on a plant
And veggies grow under the ground.
eg. potatoes
etc etc etc.
and tomatoes grow on a bush/plant thing.
