People are vegetarians for different reasons. I'm a "vegetarian" because eating meat grosses me out. I just find the idea of ingesting dead animals repulsive. However, it's not a moral issue for me, and there is no "purpose". Therefore, if I'm a guest at someone's home and they serve me fish, I'll eat it just to be polite and not make a big deal. It still grosses me out, but it doesn't go against my morals or values.

It is difficult to get all your protien as a vegetarian. If you do not get enough protien, your body will crave it. Its easier now with all the vegetarian "meat" products available in the supermarket these days, but alot of people try to be a vegetarian and because they do not balance thier diet properly or get enough protien, the cravings get to them and they start back eating meat or eat a little fish now and then. Btw there are all types of vegetarians...

Some people who claim to be vegetarians have a loose definition of what that is. I know some who claim to be vegetarian just because they occasionally have a meal without obvious meat as a main part of it.

True vegetarians don't eat any meat, including fish shellfish, insects, snails... If they tell you differently, they're just mistaken.

Vegans do not eat any animal products. While fish is a living creature, it is not a mammal. But it contains a lot of minerals a body needs. I do not eat any red meat, nor chicken, pork, or fish. based on the fact that it is dirty. I do however use some animal products, such as milk and cheese.
It depends on the individual and their views on the matter, and as to what prompted them to not eat meat, etc.

I eat fish because it is healthy and full of nutrients. I choose no red meat because it is not that good for you. I am not a fulll blown vegetarian, but I like to eat healthy. And plus that fish is really good!
