There is a consistent link between obesity (lack of exercise and unhealthy diets) and type 2 diabetes. Looking around you , the noticeable increase of obese people has a natural following of an increase of diabetics. Exercise and a healthy diet are the best preventatives. Modest eating, rather than overindulging. Check out the Harvard link.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.
I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Obesity.
From what I have learned, obesity is a leading cause of diabetes type 2 - adult onset. I think the prevalence of diabetes is due to the fact that the percentage of obesity in adults in the United States is on the rise.

Obesity is the major cause for new cases of Type II diabetes, which is in turn related to poor diet and a sedentary lifestyle. People eat too much high-carb food and won't get off the couch. Type I diagnoses, from what I've read, are remaining stable.

I'm assuming that you're referring to Type 2, because I don't think that Type 1 is necessarily becoming more prevalent.
The reason that more and more people are becoming diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes is because in case you haven't noticed, pretty much everyone in our country is fat. They overeat, and no one in our country has time for exercise. Add in the ridiculous stress levels most people are forced to live with... you have the ingrediants for Type 2 diabetes.

Sedentary lifestyle and poor eating habits leading to weight gain. Increasing dependence on junk food.
I should know. I was diagnosed 6 months ago. It's a miserable disease. Eat healthy and get more exercise. You don't want this.

Diabetes is usually treated through a combination of diet (low sugar), exercise and medications/insulin. Milder cases can be controlled with just diet an/or exercise while more severe cases require meds or insulin as well.
