mastaciolli (sp?). just tons of noodles, spaghetti sauce and cheese. how easy can it get? chicken wings are usually pretty cheap too (or just friend chicken - you can usually get large trays from the grocery store for not too much). got GFS if you have one around and you can get large tubs of different kinds of potato and pasta salad. hot dogs are cheap if you have a grill.

Make Baked Potato Soup and finger sandwiches - cheap and very easy to make. Did this for a party of about 45 and it only cost me about $65.00 for all the food!
I had baked potato soup with small bowls of chopped green onions, bacon and shredded cheese for people to top their soup. Then had little dinner rolls of sandwiches with either ham or turkey lunchmeat with a 1/2 slice of cheese. Then I set out all the condiments. I had 2 kinds of chips and big tub of onion dip.
Everything was cheap from Walmart and the discount bread store (like Sunbeam). By making all the sandwiches you control the amount of meat and cheese on each.
Everyone loved it! It got away from the hot dogs and hamburgers. Try looking up Bennigan's Baked Potato Soup on the web and find an easy recipe. Potatoes are VERY cheap and so making tons of soup is super cheap main entree!

Modified to accommodate 20, so just make 5 more servings

CHICKEN SPINACH SALAD
14 bunch fresh spinach washed and dried, or cheat and get 10 pkg of the prewashed ones at the market
10 chicken- boneless breast, grilled or boiled, then diced and chilled.
10 cup dried cranberries
10 cup chopped pecans or walnuts or both.
5 cup sunflower seeds, or put on side
10 cup feta cheese
any viniagrette dressing

Mix ingredients together and add dressing right before serving. Best serve chilled. Goes great with a glass of iced tea!

MEXICAN CABBAGE SALAD
10 cabbage, finely sliced
12 avocado, ripe, peeled and diced
12 bunch cilantro/coriander, finely diced
10 large tomato diced
5 c diced celery
5 c brown onion, diced
5 fresh jalapenos, seeds removed then diced
Mayo
salt/pepper to taste

Add the cabbage, then the cilantro, tomato, celery / onion, jalapeno and a dash of salt/pepper.
Add the avocado then 2 -3 cup of mayo or just enough to moisten to your taste. Mix well.

Chill for 1 hour and serve cold

Serve the above with bread and beverage.

I would definitely say spaghetti or lasagna. You can also go with wraps or sandwiches. It all depends upon how fancy you need to be. You can never go wrong with chicken and dumplings. If it's a little fancier...try roasted chicken with mashed sweet potatoes. Good Luck!!! I hope this helps!!!
