If she loves chocolate try my favorite "Semi Homemade" Oh It's So Good Death By Chocolate Cake. Use 1 box chocolate cake mix and prepare as usual, add 1 box of instant chocolate pudding, a 1/3 of a cup of Hersey syrup (give or take), 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and bake as usual. You may have to bake a little longer because of the added moisture so keep an eye on it. Frosting is just as simple, 1 can prepared frosting, add chocolate syrup not a lot maybe a 1/3 of a cup, 1/2 stick of soften cream cheese and blend till smooth. Frost cake after it has cooled all the way and sprinkle a few chocolate chips on top.

If she doesn't like chocolate use the same recipe using white cake, vanilla pudding, white chocolate chips, & vanilla frosting.

Good Luck & Happy Birthday Sis!!!!!!

If you love your sister, make her a carrot cake. Then you will be honoring her birthday but also showing you care about her by taking care of her health... carrot cake is a vegetable, after all.

Yes, I'm kidding! Kinda....

If you want to go inexpensively Use cake mix.
Duncan Hines has a cake mix for less than a dollar (at least where I live) thats different & delicious. Its called Butter Pecan & they sell the icing for it too. My family likes it so much that we even eat it without any icing at all & serve it with coffee in the evening.

how old will she be.. if she is young, you could make her a Barbie cake. a soccer ball cake would be great too. i know that Wal-Mart they have some cake patterns that you can buy and you can make it that way.

i remember my grandma making me a teddy bear one a long time ago!!! but it was toocute.. you can go to hobby lobby and see if they have any kind of patterns you can use also.. good luck..

but whatever cake you make, just one thing.. you are going to put LOVE in it, and that is the best ingredient in it. also, she will know that too.

If she's into humor, you can make a kitty litter cake. It's looks disgusting, but it's very tasty. Just search kitty litter cake recipe, and you'll find lots of ways to make it. My friends always get a kick out of it.

A Dump Cake
You dump whatever you have available into a chocolate cake batter like walnuts, chocolate chips, coconut, etc. Just a mixture of different things.
It's so fun. Try it.
