choose something you enjoy like a curry or whatever and only have boiled rice with it, no poppadoms or naan bread or dips.

A dry 'main' (tandoori chicken/lamb is grilled, andthe skin removed before the marinade, so it is relatively low-fat) - with veg, remember anything saying 'bhaji' is probably fried. I usually have:
Tandoori chicken and/or lamb
Salad
Boiled or steamed rice
veg curry (I prefer 'wet' but dry is fine so long as tomato not cream based)
Breads are a bit dodgy- plain naan is baken but chappatti and roti tends to be very oily. Like with chips- thin in size, big on fat (as more surface area to collect oil).
Things to avoid at all costs!! Korma (creamy), pilau rice (fried), fried starters like pappadums, samosas, pakora, onion bhaji.
Obviously go for juice or water not beer too! LOL!

Always have vegetables on give. Saute a big bag associated with frozen mixed vegetables in organic olive oil and garlic. Add some red pepper or turmeric for additional flavor and separate into portion-sized containers with the fridge.

Are you kidding me?
Indian food = fattening.
There's no escaping it. They're both synonmous with one another.
I'd advise you, don't try to 'cheat' and take a "less fattening" (an oxymoron! "Diet Indian food"..lol) option, just skip Indian food altogether because if its not made from fatty full-cream yoghurt (North Indian) it'd have fatty, cloying full-cream coconut milk (South Indian) and their vegetables do not escape the fat treatment!

Go for a vegetarian option with bolied rice. Lentil curries are a good weight-loss option.
Basically though, any of the creamy dishes (korma, butter chicken, tika masala are out.)
If you like spicy food, even better as chillies contain a chemical that boost your body's ability to burn fat and curb your appetite.

Ask your waiter if the chef can do a low fat version of whatever you normally eat. Other than that, spinach something (good for you and low fat.) Dhal (made from chick peas or lentils) is also low in fat and very high in protein (so it will fill you up). (Mmmm, could do with a curry now!

Looking for the advantages of salmon but you don't really feel cooking fish? Try canned salmon as a simple and affordable alternative.

Give your protein extra low-calorie flavor with the help of a salsa or chutney rather then a gooey cream sauce.

Chicken shaslick or tikka and boiled rice (though it will be a bit dry!);. If you go for a saucy dish ask them to use less ghee - most restaurants will do this for you.
