dose statins cause mood swings

I take 10 mg. of Lipitor once a day. Haven't noticed any mood swings.

I've never had a patient complain of mood swings on a statin. The normal dose depends on what statin you are on and what your lipid profile looks like, as well as what your goal cholesterol is, which varies depending on your other health conditions. Those with coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and diabetes are "held to a higher standard" than those without these entities.
