my understanding that onions can stop cancer

is there any truth to that?

Many onions are full of anti-cancer chemicals. Certain varieties are particularly high in these compounds as well as more effective in inhibiting liver and colon cancer cell growth. People who eat lots of garlic and onions also have a lower risk of stomach cancer.
I think it's about preventing cancer rather than curing it.

Onions are part of a healthy diet, and a healthy diet will help prevent cancer, so... maybe

. I don't think that if you ate onions it would stop cancer. Lots of fruits and veggies, fiber etc...A good healthy well rounded diet can help keep the immune system in good shape

Eating correctly can lower chances of many types of diseases and cancers. However cancer is unpredictible and you can never really 'stop' it.

onions are a very good antioxidants...i dont know about stop, as in reverse or halt, but it probly can prevent it
