If you are wondering which food groups need to be represented at the dinner you are serving, it is always recommended to have 2-3 vegetable dishes, and one bread per meat dish. You could substitute a fruit for one of the vegetables if you want, but you don't necessarily HAVE to have them both.

Food includes Vegetables and Fruits too.. Dont you know..?...
