I think people who have actually named a particular country's (Like India and U.S. How DUH.) cuisine need to step out more often. Firstly, it's not as if they have been to *every* country and sampled it's cuisine.
Secondly, it's a very biased answer with little knowledge or depth in it.
Every country's ethnic cuisine, whether or not influenced by another's ethnic cuisine or not, have their own perks and downs. I believe that if we could taste dishes from every country chances are, we'd find at least one dish we really like from everything.
It's not a matter of how many you'd end up liking. The point is that, every country's history and culture, again, whether it is gained or improved through it's neighbouring or colonial influences, contributes to the great palatte of cuisines that colour our world.
So, I think every country has the greatest food. And no, this isn't a politically correct answer. I just feel that there's so many wonderful dishes in every country I've visited and every ethnic cuisine I've sampled from young to the present, that there's no comparing one another because they're all unique in their own way!

All countries. Every country and region of the world has something unique about its' food.
I love the curries and masalas of India. But the Chinese fried rice, the dim sum and all the vegetable amazements are awesome. Asian food is wonderful. And Japanese tempuras and calimari and all the differences between all the Asian countries is wonderful
Then you get into the cool European foods. The French cooking and the Italian cooking and the British foods. Man, you can go all around the world and just have the best of everything.
Ever tasted lumpia? It is a Filipino dish. Rumor has it that it is made from dog meat.
Hmmmm. I wonder?

There is no real answer to this question as every country has food that is unique unto them and therefore their citizens would consider it the 'greatest'. I personally like food from a variety of countries and choose foods because they are different. Hooray for diversity!

Most of people here will support their country, when it comes to food because they are used to it. I believe that european food is very good, especially meditterranean food and oriental too. The first guy that answered is an a.s.s.hole since in the US they have no cuisine, unless if you call Mc Dons and burger king that.

Italy has the best food. I think they have been one of the biggest importers to American eating. You can not say American food with out listing pizza and pasta bowls.
