It is so hard to find because it is very rare. Finding love is very hard. Most of the time it comes when you least expect it. Don't look so hard. Give your heart a break and just wait for love to find you. God has a plan for all of us but if you think you should not sit around, follow your heart. I know, I fell in love when i least expected it.

I reckon it is like gold - gotta dig deep to find it.
Few are lucky, find it on the surface, at first site, some thought it was gold, but it was fools gold.
Some find it, but want more , and the bag tears and they lose all.
Try your luck, or work hard.

I liken true love to gold.
First, you have to dig real deep to find a big nugget. (It is somewhere but it is hard to know where to look first)
Second, it has to be refined and tested by fire (takes time and adversity to bring out the true colours of the person).
