Seriously, you people (religious) are all the same. Your arguements are inferior, your damn straight god hasnt revealed himself to me, probably, no, almost surely because he does not exist. Now, im sympathetic to your fears of the afterlife, ill grant that everyone posses in them some selfishness and desire to live forever. If god is what hes said to be, perfect, all knowing, wanting all to believe in him, he would be/do a few things. First, he wouldnt posses qualities like wrath and revenge and hate. These are human qualities, detestable ones that they passed on to this fairy tell of god, whod have thought that humans could only imagine something so like themselves (speaking of christian/catholic style god here). He would also make his existence well known, not in some mysterious ancient book (who cares about languages, or how long those tards spent doing it, they could have a: had the facts wrong to begin with, or b: changed as they pleased) but through obvious ways to everyone

well i dont think im like all religous people becuase veryone has a different religion, experience and relationship with God. God maybe has revealed himself to you but you just didnt get the sign becuase you are filled with such hate and misunderstanding and close mindedness. I am not scared of the afterlife so I dont really know where you are going with that one. If you are referring to hell, I doubt I am going becuase I have been living a pretty good life and I beleive Jesus is my Lord. God has to show wrath because how can he punish people for their misdoings and wrongs? If He hadnt shown me His vengful side I may still be doing all the negative things I was doing that was eventually going to leave me jobless, homeless and with no friends. His existence is known outside the bible. If you were here in cininnat i would invite you to my church and the Spirit is so strong in there you would be so amazed at how prevalent God is in the lives of these people. He has touched me often and I see His blessings in my everyday life and know that only God could do some of the stuff that has happened to me AND prevent it as well. And yes, parts of the bible do have wrong facts becuase alot is lost in translation, these are ACCOUNTS of God but becuase they were not written immediatly, alot was forgotten or accounted differently but it still doesnt take away from the meaning and purpose which is to love and be peacefuul to each other.

First you forgot to say that Catholics and Christians come from Judaism

Now about the book, ask yourself who has all the gold, no not just the Jews, it's a small percent of the people, now these people have a vision of how this world would be better for them, so they create using all of us by confusing us about anything to everything, look at the people going to church, everyday working people knowing that they fired someone for no good reason, cheated the company they work for by goofing off, just little things that make people feel guilty, you were brought up to be a good person, don't steal, lie and a lot of other stuff that makes you a mostly honest person, but the fear and guilt that was also given or passed down by our parents still lingers, so therefore people need some type of outlet, so they can do what the "Gold Keeper Want" they know we have to eat that we want A/C,Heat,Auto,Drive with Inc. you get the picture
God and Money were created by the same reason and of the same Idea, neither have actual value, but are needed by the gold keepers to control (Carrot and Stick approach) most of the people because of what was passed down generation after generation (SIN) not the terrible ones but the (Little White Lie), look at the world, do you see the rich serving and cooking burgers or do you see the poor running the federal Reserve, do you believe all the workers of the world will build these rich peoples vision, knowingly or not, is there anything we can do, not at this time except educated people about whats going own, Yes I too wish there were a God, because the one god that is offered I can not accept, because that god is "The Gold Keeper God" I slave for my crumbs like everyone else but I don't have to believe in their vision and neither do you, at least you know the truth, not that it will be easy to over come, but one day we will

God has not revealed Himself to you nor has He revealed Himself to billions of others either. The reason for that is we live in an age of faith and the opposite of faith is sight. Faith is a requirement for salvation. That is the way God is doing it. There was a day when God did reveal Himself in great ways such as pillars of fire and burning mountains and guess what, those people who saw it rejected Him too. God revealed Himself in His Son who walked on this earth and talked to humans and explained everything to them and guess what, they rejected Him too. His qualities like wrath and revenge (I'm not sure that is one of His qualities) are the result of His holiness and justice. You can't have one without the other. If God is righteous and holy He by His nature will be against sin and evil and that produces wrath. I'm trying to offer you a "valuable opinion" here but the truth is that you just don't believe it and I do not think that if God came down and slapped you in the face that you would believe even then.

They are so dreadfully narrow-minded and hypocritical. I live by the saying "Religion is for people afraid of going to hell, Spirituality is for those that have already been there." I am a spiritualist, my God is benevolent and will do no harm to me. He doesn't have a name or a face, he is just something to pray to and guide me through my conscience. Therefore, I don't have to go around telling other people to live my way, or write a science fiction novel and say live by it. I just do my own thing and stay away from religious fanatics.

You make some interesting points may I also add that it would seem foolish to spend so much negative energy arguing against something you don't believe in. If I am convinced that idols to not answer prayers, would I feel threatened by Hindu shrines or Buddhist temples? Yet you seem somehow threatened by Christians and even speak insultingly about them. I wonder why this is. Confidence of one's spiritual position in life does not necessitate insulting language!

I think it would be smart if you believe that there is a God. this will end all of your questioning. the bible tells everything. the bibles tells us the truth. evidence? the bible already know that the earth is round before Magellan did. scientist haven't discovered this that in the after the stars in the universe there is endless darkness. that the place called sodom and gomora exist, and found high deposit of sulfur. you can find noahs lost ark in mt. ararat in Turkey and many more. how can you say that there is no God, one of the evidence is yourself.

I feel you have had some hard life experiences. You have an emptiness that needs to be filled. When you have tried everything you can think of to fill this void and it is still empty, try God. God will fill this emptiness and give you peace. God will not reveal Himself to you as you as you have hardened your heart. You must first humble yourself to God. god guides whom he pleases to guide and no one can mis guide him. and who ever god chooses not to guide no one can guide him. you just need to read some religious book. wether it be the Bible or the Quran you need to learn about the religions and you will understand. and see everthing is a sign how the wind blows. the way night alternates into day and day into night these are all signs that god is revealing to you you just have to read.

The basic laws of science / physics teach us we live in a exponential universe. They more you put in the more you get out / The less you put in the less you get back. But you can't jump the gap. Put in the faith you get back the faith many fold. Put in doubt and you will be a greater doubter than before. Don't expect to get back faith, by putting in doubt, it don't work that way and never will.
