Respiration is the exchange of gases. The plant takes in oxygen and releases carbon dioxide. Photosynthesis is the use of energy from the sun to produce glucose for food. It releases oxygen as a by-product.

Respiration is a catabolic, enzyme mediated oxidative process by which the C-C bonds of the food materials like carbohydrates, fatty acids, amino acids and organic acids are broken down to release considerable amount of energy, hence an 'exorganic process'.
Photosynthesis is the single most important phsico-biochemical process on which the existence of life depends. It is an 'anabolic'and an'endorganic process' which uses the light energy in order photochemically reduce CO2 into carbohydrates. Oxygen is by-product in this process

Plants use chloraphil (what makes them look green) to convert light energy into useable energy along with the natural fertilizers and water for the plant to live.
The respisration process is the absorbtion of Co2,
and then (kind of the plants waste product) it gives of O2 to the amosphere.
This is the main reason for the need to preserve Broad leaf trees.
The pine trees that are replanted after deforestation do not do the job...

respiration occurs during the night. the product of respiration is cabon dioxide and water vapour. it is the same way that we breathe. whereas photosynthesis is the making of the food in plants. it needs water , carbon dioxide, and sunlight o produce food. this process is called photosynthesis. the end product of photosynthesis is oxyen.

RESPIRATION
oxygen is used and carbon
-dioxide is given out.
involves breakdown of food food (glucose)
site is motochondria
occurs in both animal and
plant cells.
PHOTOSYNTHESIS
carbon-dioxide is taken and oxygen is given out.
involves formation of food (glucose)
site is chloroplast
occurs only in green parts of plants.
