more proof in bibles legitamicy than in my own existence?

How do you conclude that. You, your pastor, his teachers, your parents, their parents, (hopefully the proverbial you gets the point by now) have no idea what went on when the supposed events were supposedly taking place, nor in the time when written language was finally able to record them (100 or so years, i wont pretend that im sure on this but it was a while). There is no proof whatsoever; just hope and faith. Which, if you prefer to believe illogical things for really nonexistent reasons i guess is okay. And in response to someone commenting that the fact its been around forever means its the word of god, that might just be the weakest defense of the bible ive ever come across, even weaker than "it says its the word of god, so it is". The fact its been around is merely a testament to "religion is the opiate for the masses", uncertainty is a scary thing sometimes, but to claim any real proof of legitamacy of things claiming the "word of god" is for lack of a better word, stupid

wow...the bible proves it self... and has to many peope throughout history...those the seek the truth find it and those that have no value in it do not...If you find the word of god as stupid then you have your answer as to why it makes no sense to you...God is there for those who find value in him..nad he reveals himself to those who seek him with all there heart...if this does not apply to you then why are you so amazed that you do not understand what others do? I keep talking to athiest who find no value in god whatsoever....this makes perfect sense to me that god has not revealed himself to these and if they are happy and you are happy why do you care that God has revealed himself to others?

Your points and arguments are well spelled out. Who told you the Bible is the word of God? Did you ever read the Bible to confirm this statement in respect to it being correct or not correct? Did the one who did say this to you tell you exactly where in the book called the Bible these words are recorded that says the Bible is the word of God? If he did, please do email me at [e-mail] and give me that bible verse. I have read the bible cover to cover over 100 times and did not find that verse in the bible.

I do agree with you that many do say those words but I for one just pretend I did not hear them to avoid a long discussion. In my opinion only the Bible contains the words that My God wants me to understand and to act upon in whatever manner I do decide by a choice that I must make during this present time age. I am also of the opinion I will be held accountable for my act, action and/or lack of an act or action.

I will not try to defend the book called the bible to you or tell you to accept the words written in it. However I think you have not read it and yet you have already formed an opinion. Am I wrong?

If I am wrong I am sorry for coming to the wrong conclusion. You se3e when I say read it I do not just mean read the words but I mean to think about the words as you do read them just a your system does digest the food that you eat to take out some of the nurishment. If you do that even one time I am sure you will in my opinion start to take a different view. However I do accept that I may be wrong OK

I want to keep this as simple as possible. I asked this food for thought already but here it is again.
If we are creatures and just biological organisms reacting to chemical changes in our brain, random or organized firing synapses and neurons.
Where does the first spark of thought come from? How can 4 billion individual cells react to and decipher vibrations in the air recognize it as language, come into unison and react by re-encoding it to sound by moving muscles in the larynx causing a different tone of vibrations in response to what was first encountered?
How can the most complex computer running the most complex program (which by the way broken down is just 1/0 on and off). Is not able to duplicate what the human mind can do, nor can it repair or self replicate, neither is it self aware but was made by an Intelligent Designer.
I dare anyone to look up the chemical and molecular structure of DNA, the sequence role, Helix geometries 4 billion molecules sequenced perfectly etc. then say it all came together by chance.

Can you be so ignorant and stupid as to say our bodies and DNA millions of times more intricate than the most complex computer evolve randomly out of a primordial ooze to a single cell to become self aware?
Now THAT takes FAITH!!!
Ignorant = lack of knowledge of the truth.
Stupid = having truth of knowledge revealed but choosing to stay ignorant

there is proof, and to let you know the bible was only translated into 3 different languages by monks, who spent there lives devoting themselves to things like that. so get you facts straight.

If it is so stupid why are you and thousands of others trying to refute it. I think your words and mine will pass away but the Bible is here to stay.
