We were not allowed to be fussy, we ate what we were given and when we went out for dinner we were not allowed to say we didn't like what we were eating. I am glad my parents had this attitude with me, although it sounds harsh I ate a balanced diet and was never a fat child, and I was never scared to try anything new.

EVERY child is at some point a fussy eater. Most grow out of it though. In fact, it's a good way someimes to measure a person's mental maturity.

One of my best friends is a VERY fussy eater, but then again, he still sucks him thumb...

I wasn't a fussy eater I just ate whatever was put in front of me and also pigged out on chocolate, sweets and crisps from the shop next door to my school.

Yes, I was picky on food as a kid, lots of foods I didn't want to eat and I never wanted to try anything new.

I've changed a lot since then. Today I can eat almost anything and I'm open to trying something new. Even if I don't like some food I can usually eat it anyway, with a couple of exceptions where I just really can't swallow it, as if my body is telling me that it's not edible, even if it is.

i was so fussy an eater that i didn't want to take anything for lunch to school except a cheese sandwich, potato chips and a snack pac pudding.
the teacher became concerned that mom didn't have enough money to buy a lot of food, because i always ate a cheese sandwich. i told her that's what i wanted to eat. she gave me a note to take to mom.
the next day i opened my scoobie doo lunch box and pulled out that beautiful cheese sandwich. the teacher walked by and looked but didn't say anything.
at the end of the day the teacher had a talk with mom who told her verbatim, goddamnit lady that's the only thing he wants to eat. i had to leave work to come here and talk to your *** over this?
the teacher never criticized my yummy cheese sandwiches again.

I used to be really fussy, nowadays I am still really fussy and don't like to try new things. I prefer things that either my mum prepares or I do. When I do try something new and I like it it is all I like to eat. So my digestive system isn't that good. For example all I've been heaving for a yar in the morning is bran flakes.

NO! As a kid I ate virtually anthing, I was a greedy little thing.
Now Im not fussy although I dont eat that much. The only things I avoid is high fat and sugar and that is just a health thing.

No, as a child I ate what was given to me - frog's legs, snails, etc. or I would sent to bed.
Now I am a fussy eater - when I visited my dad I refused to eat the sea-urchins :o) yuk
