ANGEL, first i want you to see your self as the angel you are. See your self as the best thing that he never had. He do not deserve your love and care, if he did he would not have played with you by getting hooked with another girl while with you.
Now on how to get rid of him from your mind: find your self something doing if you don't have any yet. if you are a student concentrate on your studies more and talk with friends a lot so you can always have better things to occupy your mind.
I wouldn't suggest thinking about the good things and the bad things he did as someone mentioned here(no disrespect to the answerer) cause combination of these two is gonna run you down big time. Also don't rush into another relationship to show him that you can find another in place of him cause you might end up with the wrong type.
Get rid of anything that will keep reminding you of him. Like photos,gifts or any other physical objects that came from him or have something to do with him. after all that give your heart some time to settle and blank his memories off your mind and you will see him as everyother stranger on the road.
sweetheart,that he was your first bf doesn't matter ok. They say good things are hard to find, you know what it means? your are the good thing and failed to find you and he has lost. His action didn't take anything out of, you are the angle and still are. Let those sweet smiles get back on that beautifull face ok.

Sometimes it's not to just forget the memories, but to come to terms with them. What I did was to try to remember everything good and then remember everything bad. Then try to understand that the reason we are no longer together is that he was never the one. Then go out with my gf's or family and slowly move on and don't look back so often. I hope that this helps.

You might want to consider why you are still attracted to someone who has done something so horrible. If you were completely mentally healthy (not that I am) you wouldn't want any part of someone like him who is so unworthy of your love. You deserve to be loved and cherished as a person and he obviously did not love or cherish you enough to be monogamous.
You may need to talk to a mental health professional to get your thoughts and tendencies in order (as do many of the rest of us).
If you took him back it would only happen again and you would have to relive it...do you deserve that life. Remember you are worthy of love without pain. Good luck.
