This guy at college has been flirting with me on and off for the past two years. Yesterday I started to get a bit touchy feely with him (stroking his leg, nothing more), then he went all cold on me. What have I done wrong and is there anyway I can fix it? I really really like him.

he's maybe in shock

if this went on for two years then there are a few answers -

either he meant it as a laugh and never thought it would go any further - so you stroking his leg would maybe shock him

or he liked you for ages but did not think that you felt the same way - so he is a little confused

he is gay and was using it as a cover up

he's in love with you and physically showed it - and was embarrassed

whatever the reason - i think that you need to talk to him. if he isn't really interested he need to stop if you really like him. he also maybe thought that he liked you but you didn't so now he is confused about what to do next. that came out a little garbled but try having a chat with just the two of you. if you are a little scared - is there a friend of his that you could sound out first to see if he knows how your friend feels

hope this works out for you

Sounds like you and this guy have a real good friendship. If that is the case you can talk about it without any pressure. He could have gone all cold because he does really fancy you, and wasn't sure if your 'touchy feely' was a come-on or not, and he didn't want to risk offending you if all you were being was friendly. I think you need to talk about how you feel about each other, discuss if you want to remain just good friends or if either of you want to take it further. Don't get all emotional about it, don't get upset if he says he just wants to be friends and no more, don't put any pressure on otherwise you will risk losing him even as a friend. Put it along the lines that you are happy to remain just as friends, but if he was interested in seeing if there was more to your friendship then you would be too, but that, at the end of the day, you didn't want to risk losing the original friendship. Be very relaxed, matter of fact and open about it all.

Hope this helps.

Could be he has no idea how to suss you out and feels if he makes a move you will hate him, call him some kind of perve and thats all he was interested in or other crap due to the behavour of others, and loose you as a mate...

Guys aint psykic or can understand the way girls communicate in signs and hints...

You have to show him you won't bite and its ok...

Could be he is fed up trying to get you to like him that way or thinks you are messing around and didn't mean it and if he makes a move as said you with treat him like dirt and hate him.

Prove him otherwise... talk to him. Bear in mind if you say do you fancy me he may say know as thinking as you have not been interested so far if he says yes you will never speak to him again.

Get it?

You have to make a move on him and show you mean it and its ok for him to move back.

Or he could be fed up ceased to feel that way and into someoen else.

Next time let him know he can put his am around you... and dont have to stop at the shoulder.

He probably just froze, if ur a stunner he could have also felt intimidated . Where did you start getting touchy feely? If it was in the classroom or refectory or in front of his mates he may have been embarrassed. Just talk to him and you'll soon sort it out, good luck.

Maybe he thought u were coming on too strong. I would hang back a bit and wait till he starts talking to u again. And wait longer till u do that again.

Ask him whats wrong anad do not tell him how you feel about him as yet it is so not good. Patience helps but curiosity killed the cat.
