Should we, (humanity/societies combined/whatever) tolerate the actions of the faithful? Faith = believing something with an abscence of reasoning, proof, knowledge of this thing. Since there is no reason involved in being "faithful" of anything, why should you be able to belief what some would call rediculous and potentially dangerous things. Lets try replacing the word faith with its real with its definition. Should people just be able to dictate whatever actions they please based on their 'lack of reasoning', and do whatever they please because they believe/hope in something. If you think yes to this, then you are essentially defending islamic terrorists, they commit acts of violence, often involving their deaths, becaues their faith (or lack of reason) tells them they will recieve a spot in the highest region of heaven. I am not trying to rude or disrespectful, so much as loosing sleep over how people can hold the beliefs, and opinions about those beliefs that they do.

I would have to say that you have some valid arguments here. However, not everyone believe in things that suggest they should become terrists.

For instance, my faith teaches that you should not commit murder...this includes abortion. But with everything there are some fanatics out there that would blow up an abortion clinic and kill everyone inside. These are the people that read too much into things and are a bit crazy.

Your point is well taken and I do understand your view. However that brings to mind one question. How can one control another's ideas, thoughts, and concepts and still expect to be allowed to have his own freedom to have ideas, thoughts and concepts as to what is right or wrong? Is such the correct attitude? If so who is the one who will set the standard or guidelines as to what is right or wrong, and who will enforce these standards justly?

I have to ask these questions because such is truly the direct issue facing all mankind who are the offspring of a Mr Adam through a grandson of Mr Adam by the name of Noah according to a book that is available called by name the Bible.

I did not mention the Bible to ask you if you do accept it, believe it, or have even read it. I mention it because in that book as far as I am concerned is the answer to your question. If you have not read it, in my opinion you should do so. In fact I recommend you not only read it once, but read it maybe 10 times or even 50 times cover to cover. By doing such I am of the opinion you will definitely find the answer and can know who not only will set the standard but also know who will at the proper time enforce this standard in a perfect system of Justice that truly is fully justified.

I am sorry I could not answer your question with a yes or no answer but this type of question is designed to be answered by someone much greater than me. Thus all I can do is in my opinion try to tell you of the reference book where I found an answer that did satisfy me in regards to your question.
Now it is your move to accept my opinion or to reject it for I do respect your right to be free just as I do respect the right of other to have their own ideas, thoughts, and concepts. My respect does not mean I do agree with them but I am not the one in control of this creation. Since I am not in control I let the controller [My God] be the one to insure His plans and purposes are fulfilled.
I truly believe I am just a tool and I was not called upon to fix the system.

You give this all some thought and do have a good day my friend.

Having faith in something is one thing. Not all people who have faith are terrorists or commit acts of violence. Not tolerating people of faith is much like the gun laws we have. You have a few who use guns to commit acts of violence against others, yet not everyone who owns a gun even thinks about causing harm to another.
Poor, I know. But it's early for me. :oP~~

faith or religion is different, where as fundamentalism, terrorism is more than sin, when these people r not sincere to themselves how u expect them to be sincere with humanity where as they never know what the humanity is,it is not new ,during the ancient time the cruelity was there but in differnt way and name, only difference is that now it is state sponsored.
