on a serious note - the police station can give advice to you.
we have a list of all the expensive things in the house, together with security markings and serial numbers. this helps the police if anything is stolen. they also provide you with warning stickers for your windows as a deterrent. they can give advice on how to improve security on your home and how to help yourself when you go out.
on another note, not all teenagers are awful, some of them recuse children from the road and some of them help old people.
not as many as there used to be right enough
you could also try volunteering with kids and then you might understand how some of them feel - there's always a space for volunteering and the kids really enjoy it.
hope this helps

C.) I have a 12 gauge pump and buckshot I keep handy for just such an eventuality. I would also call the authorities immediately and hope they would arrive before the situation deteriorated to the point where I would actually have to use the weapon. As to Iraq... Surely you are aware that we are the foreign army currently occupying their country. If the situation were reversed, I'd be building improvised bombs in my basement and conspiring with my fellow patriots to kill every foreign invader possible. Don't get me wrong, I'm a loyal American, but I'm not such a hypocrite that I can't understand why the Iraqis want us out of their country. Of course we won't like their form of government, but who are we to dictate what sort of government they end up with? We created this mess by electing Bush and allowing him to pre-emptively invade a relatively defenseless country without just cause. I am patriot enough to know I would never allow a foreign invader to ruthlessly occupy America and I know damn well Iraqi patriots feel the same way about us. The best way to support our troops is to bring them home and leave the Iraqis to manage their own affairs. Printninja -- Wow! An awesome post. Thank you. As a reward, I shall endevour to learn more about Guy Fawkes. Hung for treason, wasn't he?
