There are two general ways of responding to an argument you disagree with: providing your own counter argument, or trying to silence the person, shut the argument down. In my experience, people tend to resort to the latter when they lack the eloquence or ideological consistency to develop their own rational argument. It's basically a panic reaction of being unable to defend their own position, but refusing to either admit this to themselves, or engage with the alternative point of view. Personally, I think that if you have a strong and consistent argument, it would be able to "defeat" alternative points of view purely through the strategy of confrontation and argumentation.

So if I were you, I would take the removal as a compliment. It means you've asked a question they can't answer!

It was a good analogy, but the use of expletives to get your point across is probably too harsh for Yahoo!. Perhaps you could think of a different phrase to say the same thing...like...
'Fighting for peace is like having sex for virginity'.

Don't know. But, so you may have a defense with the Answers team... it's been asked a lot and allowed to remain.

I've had some of my questions and answers removed by Yahoo, because people disagree with them, and "report" me to yahoo. It's just a bloody witch hunt by stupid right wing christians who don't believe in free speech or democracy. To hell with them.

Is this a "best answer"?

Oh boo hoo. They probably didn't like it. And everyone is entitled to an opinion, including these people.

P.S. Doesn't the type of question being refused give you any idea?

People are so touchy and offended easily. That actually makes sense to me. You can't fight if you are trying to acheive peace.

I don't know really.... But i think we need to talk with each other without using the "street language", as for myself I hate the use of the "F" word.
